  Simple Steps for Boot Sector Repair

(Note: this procedure is not applicable for Windows Vista or 7 systems.)

Step 1

The BootMaster download will allow the user to build either a bootable floppy disktte or a bootable CD.

Step 2 Boot the computer with BootMaster diskette.
Step 3 The main screen will be displayed. Use the F10 key to select the appropriate hard drive.

Step 4 Press F3 - "Parition Summary"

This will display the Partitions Summary Screen.

Step 5 A corrupt or missing boot sector will be indicated by the word "Repair" under the "Boot Sector" column. Simply place the highlight bar on that line and press F2. When prompted, accept writing the recovered boot sector. That's it. Press ESC twice to exit BootMaster.
